No matter your year, major, or credit hour count. We all find that one day during the week that is inevitably grueling. You’re going going going all day and when you finally get a break, you realize it is 7:30 at night!
Plan out your day:
No matter what you have to do or where you have to be, it is always possible if you make a game plan. You can write it in your planner or even on a scratch piece of paper to carry around with you that day. Plan out everything to a T. From when you leave your house, to when you finally get back home. This will help you stay organized and on top of things so you don’t fall behind on an already fast moving day.
Pick out your outfit the night before:
This can determine the type of day you will have. If I am stuck trying to find a matching top and end up falling behind, I get so frustrated. It is so useful to lay out your outfit the night before so it’s one less thing to worry about in the morning!
Wake up a little early:
The worst way to start a busy day is to start in a rush. Make sure you wake up a little early so you’re ready to conquer the day. This will also ensure you don’t leave anything behind!
Pack snacks and water:
This is oh so important! Do not forget to pack snacks and a water bottle before you leave in the morning. You need to stay energized throughout your day. Things such as granola bars, bananas, and even some crackers can go a long way!
Take deep breaths throughout the day:
So I know to some this may sound odd. BUT FACT: My stress level has noticeably decreased since I’ve taken a moment to breathe for even a minute and relax during a crazy day. Taking the time to inhale in all the good energy and exhale any negativity of the day really makes a difference in the way you live!
Don’t forget to give yourself a pat on the back. You made it through a seemingly impossible day! Whether it’s ordering take out or having a glass of wine, RELAX at the end of your oh so crazy day! You made it, 6 days of freedom until we start from the top. Cheers!
