Since the weekend is approaching, I thought I would share my idea of a perfect lazy Sunday! There are a few things I do ahead of time to make sure I can just relax and not have a worry in the world!
On Saturday, I do all of my grocery shopping. Most people go on Sunday because it’s the start of a new week and less people are at the store, but I really like to go on Saturday so when I wake up on Sunday I already have my breakfast at the house. I don’t have to worry about going out to get them! This is perfect for if you ever feel like brunchin it, you don’t have to worry about shopping afterwards so you can have all the mimosas you’d like!
Do all of your homework and mandatory assignments ahead of time. I always tell myself, if I can finish all of my work Saturday morning or even during the week then I can be lazy on Sunday and not feel guilty! This isn’t always so easy, especially when you have a Monday exam! But it is possible! If you study hard throughout the week, by Sunday you can have a review just to refresh your memory! No stress added because you won’t be cramming!
Get outdoorsy. I have always wanted to get into doing yoga on the beach on Sundays so I’m gonna try that out this week. Although it requires effort, it’s so minimal that I know it’ll be relaxing!
Or choose to stay in. The days when I feel like just staying in, I like to curl up with a good book (I recommend When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi or Being Mortal by Atul Gawande for Pre-Meds!) or watch reruns of The Office. Sometimes I’ll find a movie on my Amazon Prime and watch something new!
Whether you start with going to church or sleep in until 12pm. No matter what you choose to do on Sunday just make sure it’s a day you enjoy!
